Do you suffer from eczema? Then as it is Eczema Awareness Week, this post will offer tips on how to manage this irritating and sometimes distressing condition.
My husband has had a bad flare up on the palm of his hands he had to be put on steroid pills and steroid cream (which thankfully has improved it). He could barely use his hands because of the pain from the cracked skin, etc. His was definitely triggered by stress but I am so grateful for the list of foods we can try to help him out too.
Thank you. I hope they help him.
I have eczema and literally anything can flare up mine! I’ll get it on my face, chest and my back. It can be annoying some times but I’ve found ways to manage it but I don’t have much discipline with certain foods I know I’m suppose to eat. Chocolate is going to be a hard one for me haha. Great post! xx
Thank you. 😀
I’m so glad for her. It must be particularly distressing for babies and children.
Oh yes absolutely. Especially since there really isn’t anything you can do, since there is no cure. You can try creams and stuff but they didn’t really help. I think it’s just a matter of keeping the triggers away, trying to minimize the eczema rashes, and hope that they will go away soon.
I hope it gets sorted soon and some of these tips may help her.
I didn’t know that a family history of asthma and hay fever could be linked to eczema. Thankfully, I don’t know anyone who suffers with eczema but I’m glad things have moved on from using tar to treat it! Very useful post, thank you, Rachel.
Thank you, Lisa. 😀
It’s a shame that such a condition has existed for so long yet still have no cure. Hopefully there will be one, one day
